The Humble Farm Story

“He guides the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way.” Psalm 25:9

Humble Farm is our home where we grow as a family and serve the Lord through homemaking, homesteading, and homeschooling. This story we share is a humble one, yet we have faith that God will use it to bring glory to His name.

Our farm began with our six-year-old son asking for backyard chickens for his birthday. At the time we didn’t have any farming skills or land. For years we lived in a small cottage house in our little neighborhood in Waxahachie, Texas, a place dear to our hearts. However, once we got chickens, one thing led to another and pretty soon we knew that this was supposed to be more than just a backyard hobby. God had a journey in mind for us beyond our wildest dreams and He laid on our hearts the burning desire to build a farm where He could be glorified in all we do. We sold our home and began our search of such a place. It took us two years of praying and searching before we were led to establish roots in Waco. Ever since, we have been working towards building our farm as a testimony of God’s great faithfulness.

At Humble Farm, we are intentionally old fashioned and find joy in embracing this simple life full of beauty. Here, we see gardening, collecting eggs, caring for cattle, and baking bread as opportunities to be good stewards of God’s creation and, in doing so, our hope is to bless others. Though this life may be filled with challenges, every day, in every season, there are reasons to celebrate, which is why we make time for lifegiving moments. We love to share these moments through feasting, chatting over a cup of tea, enjoying good music, and fellowshipping with friends and family. We hope you will join us as we embark on this adventure together!
